The following statement was approved by the committee of EPSC on 23^rd September 2007.

Elmbridge Phoenix S.C. will act responsibly in all matters relating to Health and Safety and will:-

1. Do all that is reasonably practical to promote Health and Safety
2. The management committee accepts that it has specific responsibility for Health and Safety and to discharge this responsibility has appointed Mrs Sue Hoad as the Health and Safety representative to advise on all health and safety matters.
3. To comply with all safety directions contained in the respective pool hire agreements and to make ourselves familiar with, and comply with all pool safe operating procedures applicable to Elmbridge Phoenix as the hirer
4. To comply with all ASA Health and Safety Laws
5. Where other premises other than swimming pools are use in conjunction with social events we shall promote good Health and Safety practice when in use
6. Where swimming galas or competitions are organised with Elmbridge Phoenix acting as the promoter of the event, undertake to hold them in accordance with the ASA Health and Safety laws
7. The club or the nominated representative will undertake risk assessment for all travel and relevant accommodation and swimming pool use when the club is competing in team by individual entry in galas or competions organised by another swimming club or an ASA licensed event at a location other than our own pool.
8. Any accidents will be reported to the Health and Safety Officer
9. To continually monitor and amend if necessary this policy yearly or sooner should current legislation change.
