The club holds trials for new members about four times a year. The purpose of these trials is to ensure that the swimmer is placed in the correct training group for their ability and development..

The last trial was on 16 May 2010. The next trial will be held at the Xcel Centre, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames (see map) in about three months time. The exact date, time and cost should be on this web page a month or more before the trial.

At the trial two of our coaches, Louise Hargrave and Sarah Helsdown, will ask each child to complete one length (25m) of the following strokes:

• Front Crawl
• Backstroke
• Breaststroke
• Butterfly (basic only required)

You will be informed immediately whether you have been successful.

If you are successful you will receive information regarding which swimming group you will be in, together with details of start date, swimming times and cost. A joining fee of £10 will be charged with your first month's fees; this includes your initial ASA membership fee.

If you are unsuccessful we will give you pointers for improvement.  Please feel free to retrial when you have addressed those points.
