The club holds trials for new members about four times a year. The purpose of these trials is to ensure that the swimmer is placed in the correct training group for their ability and development..

The last trial was on 13 April 2008. The next trial will be held at the Xcel Centre, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames (see map) in about three months time. The exact date, time and cost should be on this web page a month or more before the trial.

At the trial our chief coach, Di Hargrave, will ask each child to complete one length (25m) of the following strokes:

• Front Crawl
• Backstroke
• Breaststroke
• Butterfly (basic only required)

You will be informed by letter or telephone call within two weeks of the trial whether you have been successful.

If you are successful you will receive information regarding which swimming group you will be in, together with details of start date, swimming times and cost.

If you are unsuccessful we will give you pointers for improvement.  Please feel free to retrial when you have addressed those points.
